John entered financial services after a successful retail management career. He qualified as a Financial Adviser whilst working for a major life company, before being invited to become a partner with St. James’s Place. In 2002 John partnered with Chris to form Clear Sky Associates.

John holds the full Financial Planning Certificate and The Mortgage Advice Qualification, and has been awarded Cert CII (MP) by examination. He is a licensed Will writer and member of The Association of Will Writers.

John enjoys helping people to achieve their goals and objectives and has recently served as chairman of the very successful Thanet Business Network. He is the author of The Millionaire Myth, and co-founder of Beyond Excellence.

What spare time he has is spent with his wife and three children. He enjoys all sports, travel and is once again training for The London Marathon.

Chris Solly Cert CII

Chris had a strong retail management background, and served as a police officer before entering financial services in 1996. He was a leading financial adviser with Britannic Assurance before being invited to join as a partner The St. James’s Place Group. He established Clear Sky with John after working as an independent mortgage consultant.

He has achieved the full Financial Planning Certificate, the CMAP mortgage qualification and is a licensed will writer. He has also been awarded Cert CII by examination.

Chris brings to Clear Sky an outstanding personal protection bias, and is actively involved with The Chamber Of Commerce. He was a founder member of Beyond Excellence.

Chris is married with two children, and relaxes by bird watching, a hobby that takes him all over the world.
